Christmas Cabinet Revealed

It was time for some paint!  We had decided that red would be our color of choice and Aaron chose a great shade of barn red.  We worked together on the drawers and I followed up with distressing the fronts and dark waxing them.

The bottom is just paint and the top is distressed and waxed.

I moved on to the doors and the body of the cabinet.

Aaron worked on boiling the old paint from the hinges while I waxed the cabinet.  Aaron added new pulls to replace the wood knobs and casters to make the cabinet portable.  Our part was complete!

Unfortunately, the cabinet didn’t make it to my mother in law on Christmas Day as planned.  So two weeks later, we delivered it and three stools to her house.  Here is the before and after photos…

We’re pretty happy with the outcome. What do you think?
